Professional Yoga Services

 

Private Yoga Instruction or Group Classes, Therapeutic Yoga & Ayurvedic Yoga Bodywork 
 
Throughout the last twelve years of guiding groups and supporting individual clients, I have worked with numerous populations including pregnant women, infants, children, teenagers, adults and seniors.  I enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities from total beginners to experienced students.  Here is some more specific information about the yoga services I offer.  Our facilities are ground level and wheelchair accessible for those with special physical needs and capabilities. 
 
Private Yoga Instruction

Private yoga instruction can be a helpful and comfortable way to begin to learn some yoga basics, develop a home practice, have a private weekly class, or refine, deepen and enliven an intermediate or advanced practice.  Sessions usually run sixty to ninety minutes and are customized to your individual needs, goals and capabilities.  A great way to support your personal practice!  Private group classes are also available by request.
 
Yoga for Healing 

Numerous yoga techniques and practices can be applied to help heal injuries, correct imbalances and address specific conditions.  Therapeutic yoga is helpful for a wide range of issues including back, knee, shoulder or joint pain, scoliosis, arthritis, stress, and anxiety or depression, to name a few.  It is also a useful support for the nervous and immune systems and can be very beneficial when healing from significant health challenges.
 
Gentle stretching, breath work, restorative yoga, chair yoga, meditation and visualization are all tools that are used in recovering from injury or illness, or to support the body when in a depleted state.  Yoga for Healing sessions are designed to enhance the body’s own capacity to heal, are catered to your individual needs, and are easily adapted to people of all physical abilities.  Facilities are on ground level and wheelchair accessible.
 
Ayurvedic Yoga Bodywork

In Ayurvedic Yoga Bodywork your body is guided through a series of supported stretches and postures as techniques called palming and thumbing are used along energy lines to balance your energy body, relieve muscular tension, boost the immune system, improve circulation and enhance overall well-being.  Ayurvedic Yoga Bodywork is like Thai Yoga Bodywork but also considers your unique constitution in the techniques and approach that are used in your session.  Ayurvedic Yoga Bodywork sessions are performed on a mat on the floor and both client and practitioner are dressed in comfortable clothing allowing for freedom and ease of movement.  Truly a treat!
